Tumeric is a spice used in curry giving it it’s yellow color. Tumeric has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years safely for a variety of conditions. Curcuminoids (Curcumins) are the most active component of Tumeric but only represents only about 3% of Tumeric by weight. Taking pure concentrated Curcuminoids, as in this product, is an efficient way to increase Curcumin’s benefits. Curcumin is poorly absorbed when taken plain by mouth . We formulated Liposomal Curcumin to vastly improve it’s absorption with the aid of Phosphatidylcholine (PC) Liposomes. Liposomes are microscopic spheres of PC (a natural compound in all of our cell membranes) of less than 300 nm diameter. These spheres envelop the Curcumin molecules and allow them to not only be protected from the destructive action of stomach acid and bile, but also to be taken up by the cells of the digestive tract into the blood circulation at very high rate. Some possible benefits of Curcumin are: 1. Potential Antioxidant Acivity 2. Anti-inflammatory potential in animal and cell cultures – inhibited COX-2 (similar action to ibuprofen) and NFkB (inflammation promoter) 3.May enhance the genes producing Glutathione (the master antioxidant and detoxifier). 4. May support the Immune system 5. May support healthy cholesterol levels 6. As an aid in healthy aging Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound naturally found in red wine, and some berries. Reseveratrol also has poor bioavailability, meaning that once it is absorbed it’s quickly gets degraded. The liposomal form of resveratrol in this product attempts to dramatically increase absorption and bioavailability (see above). Resveratrol has promising effects as follows: 1. As a potential direct anti-oxidant 2. As an aid in detoxification as Cytochrome p450 modulator 3. As a potential anti-inflammatory agent decreasing neuro-inflammation 4. Mimics the beneficial effects of calorie restriction on healthy aging
